The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido, has concluded plan to organize a two-day skills acquisition training for the political appointees.

This was contained in a press release signed by SA media and public relations to the Executive Chairman of AMAC, Chief Dayo Lawal and made available to Peoples Daily correspondent on Tuesday in Abuja.

The release said the training is one of the series of events line up for this week will commence on the 12th of April, 2022 at the Council’s Marriage Registry.

The release said: “Candido in his magnanimity conceived this skills acquisition scheme for the ongoing political appointees as means of livelihood after their service”

The release further said: “During the training each appointee is expected to choose a trade which he or she will receive intensive training on, so as to master the business that will in turn provide means of livelihood after service.”

“Other activities line up for the week include on Wednesday a Novelty match between the political appointees and the civil servants at the Area 3 Stadium by 4:30 pm, while later in the evening there will be Award night and Iftar to recognize some staff that have contributed excellent service to the Council”, the release explained.“On Friday, the outgoing Chairman of AMAC will officially declared his intention to contest for a seat at the House of Representatives to represent AMAC/Bwari Federal constituency at the FCT APC secretariat”, the release added.
