The leadership of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Monday swore-in comrade Emmanuel Musa as the new Chairman of the union in the Area Council.
In his acceptance speech, Musa said he would provide a conducive working environment for the staff, adding that the staff welfare will be given a top priority.
He said he would continue to maintain a good relationship with the staff and management of the council for the sake of a tremendous victory.
His words: “I will not in any condition or choice allow my personal interest to overshadow my core responsibility in office. And I promise to be your servant leader not a boss”.
He said his leadership would welcome meaningful suggestions as well as advice that would keep the staff together.
He said: “It is paramount to note that the ideology of the “Unionism is dialogue” and not confrontation unless proved otherwise. Therefore, we shall exhaust all avenues for dialoging of getting things done, Inshallah”.
