The Bassa-Nge community in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Saturday Turbaned seven Madakis (district leaders) cut across the Area Council.
The newly turbaned Madakis are Mallam Abdulrahman Angulu Momoh; Madaki of Bassa-Nge community Angwan Dodo, Dr James Bando; Madaki of Bassa-Nge community in charge of phase l, ll and llll Quarters, Mr Habib Musa; Madaki of Bassa-Nge community Tunga Maje, Mallam Abdulkadir Abdullahi; Madaki of Bassa-Nge community Dagiri, Mallam Abu Abaje; Madaki of Bassa-Nge community New Kutunku, Mallam Ismaila Nda Mohammed; Madaki of Bassa-Nge community Old Kutunku and Mallam Suleiman Bello, Madaki of Bassa-Nge community Dukpa.
Other title holders of Bassa-Nge community in Gwagwalada included Hajiya Bilkisu Shuaibu; Magajiya of Bassa-Nge community in charge of women, Hajiya Ramatu Mohammed; Nnakwotsu of Bassa-Nge in charge of women, Hajiya Nna-Adama Mohammed; women leader of Bassa-Nge community, Mallama Salamatu Aliyu; Soronia noble women of Bassa-Nge community, Mallama Hassana Baba; Giri women leader and Hajiya Bilkisu Kato, Inuwa Mata Rumba Nzagi of Bassa-Nge community.
Speaking at the coronation, the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Timothy Waniko, called for the unity of Bassa-Nge at all times.
In an interview, the Etsu (Chief) of Bassa-Nge community in Gwagwalada, Mallam Danjuma Muhammed, urged all the leaders of Bassa-Nge in Gwagwalada to always be Patience with their subjects for the sake of peace and oneness.
The Etsu of Bassa-Nge said he would continue to provide purposeful leadership capable of satisfying the aspirations of his people.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Bassa-Nge community Association in Gwagwalada, Mallam Ishaka Ndanusa Aguye charged the entire Bassa-Nge to continue to live in peace with one another irrespective of religious and political inclinations.
Aguye then advised the newly turbaned Madakis to deem it necessary to unite their people across their communities when the need arises and congratulated them for their coronation.
Speaking in the same vein, the Chairman for selection and turbaning of Madakis, Alhaji Isah Kato, called on the newly turbaned district leaders to come together for the overall progress of Bassa-Nge in Gwagwalada and its environs.
Kato, however, disclosed that district leaders were turbaned today based on the wishes / acceptance of their people.
On his part, the Madaki of Bassa-Nge community in charge of phase l, ll and lll Quarters, Dr James Bando said he would continue to preach gospel of unity among his subjects in order to fast tract development.
