The Gwagwalada Main Market Traders Association in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Saturday elected twenty executive members to pilot the affairs of the association.
Some of the officials who were elected are Mr. Aminu Lawal Bakin Ruwa; Chairman, Owoyemi Habibat Oniola; Vice-Chairman, Thomas Chika Ugwoke: Secretary-General, Bashir Musa; Treasurer, Udofia Stephen; Financial Secretary and the position of women leader went to Rakiya Jumai Shuaibu.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new executives, the outgoing Chairman of Gwagwalada Main Market Traders Association, Alhaji Muhammad Nura Rimi, urged the newly elected officials to always work towards the progress of the market.
He charged the officials to carry the members of the association along in the affairs of things, and tasked them to remain committed to their duties.
Rimi, therefore, called on the government of Gwagwalada Area Council to deem it fit to repair the dilapidated road leading to Radio House to the market.
