bala fct ministerThe Minister of FCT, Sen. Bala Mohammed, has promised an environment conducive for the success of the National Conference.

Bala made the pledge while speaking with newsmen after inspecting the National Judicial Institute (NJI), venue of the conference in Abuja.

Mohammed said “the city and its residents are adequately prepared to ensure that the delegates experience the best of Abuja throughout their three months stay.

“Seeing me here is an attestation that we are looking, exploring and making sure that the environment, people and the hotels are ready for the conference.

“Certainly, as we are expecting vibrant and good contributions from the delegates, we will deploy our transportation system and other services at our disposal to facilitate comfort of those attending the conference’’, he said.

Mohammed said that the FCT Administration, through the Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB) had deployed its officials to ensure a clean city.

“Abuja is the centre of excellence of the country and we are bringing out our best in terms of representation because first impression matters.

“We have to make sure that everywhere is clean, neat and serene; a place where we can come and talk freely.’’

The minister expressed optimism that the participants, whom he said “are the owners Abuja”, would contribute their quota towards the development of the FCT and the nation at large.

“We know the delegates are people of high calibre who don’t need to be told the dos and don’ts of Abuja because they are also owners of the city. (NAN)
