The Village Head of Tudun Fulani, Dei-dei in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammadu Gwadabe, has called on the FCT Minister of state, Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu as well as the leadership of the FCT Secondary Education Board (SEB) to deem it necessary to establish both junior and senior secondary schools in Tudun Fulani community to enable the children have access to education there.
Gwadabe, who made this call in an interview with our correspondent in the community on Sunday, also pleaded with the minister to build Primary Healthcare centres in the community in order to prevent residents from traveling out for medical treatment.
He further urged the minister to provide potable drinking water for the people of the community, saying that the residents were neglected in terms of basic necessities of life.
His words: “Our people drink borehole water in the community and also our children trek to Jiwa and Gwagwa to attend junior and secondary schools due to lack of schools in the community”.
According to the royal father, the people of the community can only boast of primary school being built by the government, and that apart from primary school there are no other government institutions in the community.
The traditional ruler, however, appealed to the minister to repair the dilapidated roads within the community, and said if the community’s roads were rehabilitated, the commuters would get access to Dei-dei regional market being built by the FCT Administration.
