The Chairman of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Gwagwalada Branch in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Emmanuel Tayo Ogunjide, has briefed the journalists on the activities of the 2023 law week which tagged “Elevating Justice”.
Ogunjide informed the gathering that the law week was a period of festivity for lawyers, pointing out that the law week would end on the 6th of December, 2023.
In an interview with newsmen, the Chairman in charge of planning committee, Barr. Ibrahim G. Haruna, said there was no doubt that the Law week would be successful.
He said he would remain committed towards the preparation of the law week for the sake of members of Eagle Bar.
According to Haruna, “going by the quality of speakers lined up to interrogate the theme of the law week, there is no doubt that at the end of the day we will come up with a frame work that will translate to a better justice delivery”.
On his part, Barr. Toby Nwabueze Onwosi, pleaded with judges and lawyers to contribute their quota towards elevating justice for the betterment of the society.
Onwosi, however, called on Nigerians to always obey the Rule of Law, adding that Rule of Law is bigger than the president of any country.
