The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Mr Maxwell Adebayo, has commissioned the office of the vigilante group in Gwagwalada Central Zone.
Adebayo said the leadership of the VGN would continue to join hands with the security agencies to fight crime in the Federal Capital Territory for the sake of the residents.
He charged the VGN across the FCT to remain committed to combat crime at their respective Area Councils.
He assured the commanders of the VGN in the territory that he would give the necessary support to them in order to wage war against the criminals.
In an interview with People’s Daily Correspondent after the commissioning ceremony, the VGN Commander in charge of Gwagwalada Central Zone Command, El-Usman Adamu said he would work hand in hand with other commanders to curb the security challenges in Gwagwalada and its environs.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Chairman of Gwagwalada on the security matters urged the various vigilante groups in Gwagwalada and FCT at large to work in unity in order to tackle the security problems in the territory.
