As AICL gets new MD

The FCT Administration has contracted Messrs Julius Berger Nig Plc for the immediate comprehensive renovation of the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.
This development, followed the immediate termination of the contract of Messrs Integrated Facility Management Services Ltd for the management of the Abuja ICC.
A statement from Director of Press, (Office of the Minister), Anthony Ogunleye issued yesterday, said the termination, which was approved by the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike, is with immediate effect.
According to the statement, Wike also approved the appointment of Ambassador (Dr) Maureen Tamuno as the new Managing Director of Abuja Investment Company Limited (AICL).
It added that Tamuno’s appointment takes immediate effect.
It read: “An experienced public officer, entrepreneur, and diplomat, Ambassador Tamuno was the Nigerian High Commissioner to Jamaica, Belize, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.
“The Hon. Minister of the FCT Barrister Nyesom Wike terminated with immediate effect, the contract of Messrs Integrated Facility Management Services Ltd for the management of the International Conference Center, Abuja.
“The Minister also terminated with immediate effect, the contract of Messrs Integrated Facility Management Services Ltd for the management of the International Conference Center, Abuja.
“Messrs Julius Berger Nig Plc has been contracted for the immediate comprehensive renovation of the International Conference Center, Abuja.”
