The Management of Federal polytechnic Nasarawa said it will henceforth penalize students engaging in graduation parties.

The punishment also affects any student engaging in immoral, indecent or disrespectful conduct capable of bringing the good name of the polytechnic to disrepute.

 

The Management, in a statement by Mrs. Safina SaboAg. Director, Information and Publicity said the decision was reached  after a meeting with Students Union Government (SUG) Executive, Class Representative and Schools’ Senators on Monday 2nd , June 2025.

It said  the Sign out Party and final year brethren (FYB) celebration before and after final examinations has been banned.

 

“All graduating students will Sign an   undertaking on their compliance with the ban and the likely consequences of cancellation of exams, expulsion or repeat session   should any student violate the ban.

“The management has also prohibited Celebrations in the form of spraying Naira notes.

 

“The penalty also affects those Students found in possession of firearms, consuming or trading in alcoholic drinks, illicit drugs, as well as any other intoxicant within the Polytechnic premises.

 

“The Management will also query departments and invigilators who accept Students in the examination halls with ‘’Sign-out’’ items.”
