Federal Teaching Hospital Katsina Begins Comprehensive Cancer Care Services

The Federal Teaching Hospital Katsina says it will commence the provision of comprehensive cancer care services beginning from Monday, 6th July 2026.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Abubakar Mohammed Mairuwa made this known on Sunday in Katsina.

“We are pleased to announce that the state-of-the-art Federal Teaching Hospital Katsina Cancer Centre will commence full clinical operations on Monday, 6th July 2026.

“Effective immediately, the Centre will provide comprehensive cancer care services, including Specialist Oncology Consultations, Chemotherapy Services, and Radiotherapy Services,” he said.

According to the Chief Medical Director, the teaching hospital is now fully equipped and ready to receive patient referrals, and provide high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centred cancer care.

“We kindly encourage you to refer patients requiring oncology services to our Centre,” he added.
