Federations Cup: Inyama hails NNL clubs

hairman of Abia Warriors, High Chief Emeka Inyama has given kudos to the duo of Prime Football Club of Osogbo and Gateway Football Club of Abeokuta for showing the world that there is quality in the country’s second tier league. Speaking against the backdrop of the quarter final clash between the two NNL teams on Wednesday which Prime FC won on penalties to zoom into the last four, Inyama who also the Chairman of the Nigerian National League (NNL) said that he is proud of the performances put up by not only the two teams but impressive showing of most of the NNL clubs in the current competition. According to him, “it is most gratifying that teams in the National League got to appreciable stage in this year’s Nigerian Federation Cup and l cannot but congratulate them all.

I mean every NNL team that participated and more importantly Prime and Gateway that defeated some elite clubs to reach the last eight and now the last four in the case of Prime FC. The Executive Board member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) however pledged the support of the NNL to Prime FC to lift the coveted trophy to show that the second division league is as tough as the premier league.
