FG commissions housing projects In FSTC Orozo

The Permanent Secretary, Arc. Sonny Echono has commissioned various projects at the Federal Science and Technical College, Orozo in Abuja.
In a press statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Ben Goong,the projects commissioned include a brand new five (5) bedroom Principal residential accommodation and two (2) bedroom boys quarters, staff accommodation, classroom and landscaping.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Arc. Sonny Echono stated that the standard set by Orozo should be emulated by all Unity Colleges.
The Permanent Secretary also, commended the Principal of the school, Mrs. Kenneth Grace for an outstanding performances and service delivery in terms of infrastructural and human resource development as well as the overall academic performance of the students within the period Mrs. Kenneth Grace has been the Principal of the school.
Arc. Sonny echono urged the staff and students to make the best use of the facilities provided by government to enhance their learning.
Speaking earlier in her welcome address to the Permanent Secretary, the Principal of the school Mrs. Kenneth Grace expressed her profound appreciation for the opportunity she has had to serve in this capacity noting that she has no regret whatsoever been the Principal of Orozo.
Rolling out the achievements of the school in terms of academic, the Principal said that Orozo has perform creditable well in all National Examinations especially for 2018/2019 academic year.
She revealed that Federal Science and Technical College (FSTC), Orozo came third (3) in the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) examination nationwide.
According to her, FSTC was also among the best fifty (50) schools in West African School Certificate Examination (WASSE).
Speaking on the laurels won by school, the Principal displayed certificates of excellence and commendation from National Examination bodies especially in the area of stenography where she said her school emerged the overall best, coming first in the National Examination Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Eexamination (SSCE).
FSTC Orozo in the 2018/2019 academic year was also rated among the best fifty out of 104 Unity Colleges.
In WASSE, FSTC Orozo took second position in stenography, third in Furniture making as well as third overall best in NABTEB.
The Principal noted that discipline has been fully restored in FSTC urging parents to feel free to bring in their children as their wards are now in safer hands.
The Principal was upbeat that she is leaving Orozo better than she met it adding that she enjoyed good working relationship with the students and staff in the pursuit of academic excellence.
