FG commissions National Digital centre in Jigawa

The federal government of Nigeria, through the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), commissioned the first National Digital centre in Hadejia Jigawa state.
Speaking at the ceremony, the minister of communication and digital economy Dr Isah Aliyu Ibrahim Pantami said, this is part of the present administration’s effort to boost the economy and create jobs to teeming youths population.
He said, Presideent Muhammad Buhari’s administration, is committed to promote security, fighting corruption and ensuring the economic development in which development of digital economy is part of the effort.
Pantami explained that, his ministry built and equipped three new digital centres that can accommodate 40 participants each at Gombe, Port-Harcourt Rivers state and Hadejia area of Jigawa state.
The Minister who insisted that, “to have digital skills is better than to have degree from Nigerian University” said impacting digital skills to Nigerian youths would create and develop digital economy as a faster business to create wealth.
He then, handed over the digital centre to the state government through the Hadejia emirate, urging them to make a proper utilization of the centre for a better sustainable development.
While making his remarks, the state governor Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Badaru commended the minister for the build of the Centre in Jigawa state.
Governor Badaru also assured to collaborate with Hadejia emirate to properly use the centre for job creation and economic development in the state.
