The federal government said vaccination against transboundary animal diseases has begun.
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Mohammed Mahmood Abubakar made this known in Gombe on Thursday while flagging off the vaccine.
He said the federal government is committed to providing adequate vaccines to eliminate diseases that have been major problems to animals in the country.
The minister assured that doing so will help the country benefit immensely in its economy.
He said government will always be in top gear to ensure that the issue of diseases in animal is wiped out.
On his part, governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya who appreciated the gesture said his administration is ready to support the ministry of agriculture and its programmes.
