The Federal Government of Nigeria has congratulated Dr Dickson Akoh on his appointment as Head of Peace and Security Sectoral Cluster Committee of the African Union, Economic, Social and Cultural Council (AU ECOSOCC)
Dr. Akoh, the National Commandant of Peace Corps of Nigeria’s appointment is based on his contribution towards Peace Building, conflict Resolution as well as Nation Building.
In a letter signed by the Director IOD, Agbo V.A for the Secretary to the government of the Federation, urge Dr Akoh to bear his wealth of experience in popularizing, domesticating Africa
The statement further asked Commandant to implement the African Union aspirations most especially in the areas of Conflict Resolution, Peace Building, Combating terrorism, Drug Trafficking, illicit proliferation of small arms and light weapons and security reforms etc.
