The Federal Government has hailed Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State for establishing a standalone Ministry of Youth Development, describing the move as a bold and visionary step toward empowering the state’s teeming young population.
Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, gave the commendation in a press statement issued on Wednesday and made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
The minister had earlier visited the governor and advocated for a dedicated ministry to coordinate youth-related policies and programs.
According to Olawande, Governor Uba Sani’s decision signals “a deep commitment to harnessing the potential of young people and ensuring their development is not left to chance.”
He noted that the ministry will serve as a vital platform for planning, executing, and monitoring youth-focused initiatives across Kaduna, a state with one of Nigeria’s largest youth populations.
“The Governor’s responsiveness and strategic foresight stand him out as a leader who truly understands that the future of any society rests on the shoulders of its youth,” Olawande said.
The federal minister also pledged to collaborate closely with the new Kaduna youth ministry to deliver life-changing programs and opportunities to young people across the state.
The creation of the new ministry is being widely viewed as another milestone in Governor Uba Sani’s efforts to deepen inclusive governance and accelerate human capital development in Kaduna State.
