The Federal Government of Nigeria has sympathized with the Government and people of Bauchi over the recent flood and windstorms that occurred in some parts of the state.
The Minister of Humanitarian affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Faruq while on a sympathy visit on Saturday also presented COVID-19 Palliative for the affected persons to Bauchi state government.
The Minister expressed sadness over the incident and noted that preliminary report on the incident indicated the need for relief intervention.
She said that the National Emergency Management Agency has been directed to assess the situation and provide necessary support to the affected persons to cushion the effects of the disaster.
