FG to adopt diplomatic options in resolving Nigeria-Ghana trade relations

The Federal Government will explore all diplomatic options in resolving the ongoing trade rift between Nigerian Traders in Ghana and the Government of Ghana.
Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Richard Adeniyi Adebayo made this known while answering questions from journalists after the inauguration of the newly elected executives members of the Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CICAN) in his office in Abuja.
Adebayo said that consultation is going on at the diplomatic level between the two countries to ensure that the matter be resolved amicably.
He appreciated the members of CICAN for the good coverage of the Ministry’s activities since their assumption in Office as Ministers, as he cherished the cordial relationship that exists between him and the 4th estate of the realm and CICAN members in particular.
He further called for closer collaboration between the Ministry and CICAN and assured the members of the Ministry’s continuous support.
Adebayo also used the occasion to inform them that the Ministry will soon come up with various programmes and solicits for their support, cooperation in giving the events adequate publicity.
The Chairman of the Association, Mr. Fredrick Idehai commended the Minister and solicited for support from various agencies under the Ministry and assured the Minister of CICAN’s coverage of the Ministry’s activities.
