FIFA ban: Giwa withdraws court case

Factional President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Chris Giwa looks set to embrace peace as reports suggest that that he has finally withdrawn his case against the NFF at the Jos High Court. The case filed by Obinna Ogba and Yahaya Adama; both of the Giwa-led board challenging NFF elections is now withdrawn and presiding Justice Allagoa has subsequently struck out the suit on Thursday.

The decision by Giwa to withdraw his case from court was said to have been facilitated by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan who frowned at how the country has been portrayed in bad light with the unending football crisis. Jonathan was said to have had a closed door meeting with the warring NFF parties.
