Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has sworn some new appointees including Secretary to the state government,SSG,Head of Civil Service,HOS and the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice.

Those sworn in were Barrister Auwal Tukur as SSG,Mal.Shehu Isa Ardo as Head of Service,Usman Ahmad as Auditor General and Barrister Afraimu Jingi as Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice.

Presiding over the swearing ceremony at Government House Yola Tuesday, Fintiri congratulated the appointees and urged them to foster unity of purpose and engage in efforts that will help the present administration to deliver.

He assured the appointees maximum support of government to enable them discharge their duties that will benefit the people of the state.

The new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Barrister Auwal Tukur while responding on behalf of other appointees pledged to do their best in the course of discharging their responsibilities.

At the ceremony,the Chief Judge Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman administered the oath of office and allegiance on the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Barrister Afraimu Jingi and thereafter Barrister Jingi administered same on the Head of Service and State Auditor General.

Meanwhile,the Adamawa state Assembly members have elected Hon.Bathiya Wesley of Hong constituency as the speaker of the 8th state Assembly.

Wesley emerged in Yola Tuesday during the official inauguration of the 8th Assembly with member representing Jada/Mbulo.Hon.Muhammad Buba Jijiwa elected as the deputy speaker among others.
