The office of National Youth Service Corps [NYSC] in Kebbi state has been gutted by fire which started around 9-10pm yesterday in the night, affecting some parts of the state coordinator’s office as well as the mobilization office of the NYSC.
Speaking to Peoples Daily on phone while confirming the incident, the state coordinator, Abdulahi Yusuf Baba lamented over the fire, adding that it occurred as a result of power outrage causing the loss of some vital documents of the scheme.
He said that the appropriate authorities have been informed while the state fire service were able to stop the fire before it escalated to blocks.
He thanked the people in the area, and the fire service for their support and cooperation towards putting off the fire.
