Fire outbreak kills three children in Jigawa

No fewer than three children were confirmed burnt to ashes as result of fire outbreak in Takawa village, Jahun local Government area of Jigawa state.
This was confirmed by the public relations officer of Nigerian security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) Jigawa state command SC Adamu Shehu in Dutse the state capital.
He explained that, the incident occurred on Saturday 7/3/2020 at about 1245hrs in Takawa village while the household were sleeping.
According to him, the fire incident engulfed one room inside the house of one Ya’u Adamu killing three children of the same family.
He identified the deceased children as Bello Hassan seven years, Zulai Buba female seven years and Maimuna Amadu of four years old.
SC Shehu maintained that, the fire had also resulted to the destruction of valuable properties including food items and furnitures.
He said, the corpses were buried according to Islamic injunction adding that, the cause of the fire incidence is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile the command also confirmed another fire incident at Jahun Gabas in Jahun local Government in Jigawa state adding that the incident happened also on Saturday on 7/3/2020 around 1235hrs.
He said, the fire destroyed the whole three bedroom apartment with properties it worth 6 million naira while small boy Mohammad Sadisu sustained various injuries.
