First Lady Donates N100m to 2,000 Women Petty Traders in Jigawa
Nigeria’s First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has announced the donation of N100 million grant for 2,000 women petty traders in Jigawa State.
The First Lady, who was on official visit to the state, said her commitment to the promotion of small and medium scale businesses remain strong.
She described the sub sector as the foundation for sustainable development in the country.
Remi Tinubu said each of 2,000 women would receive N50,000.
The First Lady, spoke at the palace of the Emir of Hadeija, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Maje, where she kickstarted her one day official visit to the state.
As part of the visit, Mrs Tinubu is expected to flag off the North West National Community Food Bank programme and inaugurate some projects, including the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Academy and the Senator Oluremi Tinubu Clinic built by the state government.
