The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, will on Friday inaugurate the Abuja headquarters of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement as the group intensifies grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
The inauguration is scheduled for 3pm on October 23, 2026, in the Federal Capital Territory.
The National Coordinator of the movement, Comrade Sunday Adekanbi Asuku, disclosed this in a statement made available to *Peoples Daily* on Wednesday in Abuja.
The office is expected to serve as a strategic centre for coordinating the movement’s activities in the FCT and strengthening its nationwide mobilisation network.
The movement is convened by High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, who serves as its grand patron.
It is campaigning for Tinubu’s re-election by taking the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda directly to households, markets, workplaces and other community gathering points.
Asuku said the inauguration would reinforce the organisation’s determination to build an effective grassroots network capable of reaching voters across the country.
According to the movement, its strategy involves direct engagement with citizens, explaining government policies and providing opportunities for residents to express their concerns.
The organisation has also expanded its operations through the inauguration of state chapters, the appointment of local government coordinators and the distribution of vehicles and campaign equipment.
It said more than 300 campaign vehicles and equipment had been distributed across several states to facilitate its mobilisation activities.
The states include Katsina, Borno, Kano, Taraba, Nasarawa, Kogi, Lagos, Oyo, Yobe, Bauchi, Kwara, Gombe and Ondo.
In Katsina State, the movement inaugurated coordinators across the 34 local government areas and deployed 34 vehicles to support community outreach.
It also deployed 44 vehicles and public-address equipment in Borno State, while 50 vehicles were provided to support its operations across Kano State’s 44 local government areas.
In Taraba, 25 vehicles were presented to coordinators following the inauguration of the state structure in Jalingo.
Nasarawa and Kogi states also received 25 vehicles each, according to the organisation.
The movement further reported deploying 34 vehicles in Kwara State, 26 in Gombe and another 26 in Ondo to strengthen its grassroots operations.
During the inauguration of its Ondo State structure, Tompolo reportedly urged coordinators to intensify engagement with registered voters and work towards converting support for Tinubu into votes.
The movement said its mobilisation programme would focus on communicating the administration’s policies and initiatives on infrastructure, education, healthcare, economic reforms and development.
It also urged its coordinators and supporters to engage residents peacefully, provide accurate information and respect the political opinions of Nigerians who might disagree with the administration.
The organisation said it was working towards establishing structures across the 36 states and the FCT, extending its network through local government areas, wards and polling units.
The Abuja headquarters is expected to strengthen coordination among the movement’s national and state structures as preparations for the 2027 general election gather momentum.
The group called on its members, supporters and invited stakeholders to attend Friday’s inauguration.
