The international friendly which is expected to prepare the Flying Eagles for their African Youth Championship qualifiers against either Kenya or Tanzania will hold in Porto-Novo.

According to Auwal Aliyu who is the Nigeria U20 team secretary, Manu Garba’s side will depart for Lagos on May 2 before their trip to the francophone nation, then return to the country and later jet out for their first leg African Youth Championship qualifying game.

Benin Republic on their own part will be squaring up with the winners of the encounter between Niger and Congo in the next stage of the qualifiers.

The Young Squirrels forced the Flying Eagles to a 1-1 draw at the Abuja Stadium the last time they met in 2012.
