A former Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Gwarzo, has resigned his membership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Gwarzo disclosed this in a resignation letter addressed to the party’s chairman in Gwarzo Local Government Area, stating that his decision takes immediate effect.
He explained that his exit followed recent political developments, which he said necessitated a reassessment of his position within the party.
According to him, the decision was reached after consultations with political associates, supporters and stakeholders across Kano State.
Gwarzo added that the changing political environment made it imperative for him to chart a new direction consistent with his political vision.
His resignation comes amid a wave of realignments within opposition parties, as key figures continue to reconsider their affiliations ahead of future elections.
