In the spirit of Christmas festivity and its founder’s birthday, a Yola based humanitarian organization, the Emnamu Foundation has facilitated the release of fifty one (51) inmates in Adamawa state.
The founder of the foundation, Dr.Emmmanuel Musa paid for the fines and bail fee of the 51 inmates from various correctional facilities in the state for their freedom.
Musa also assisted another set of 1000 patients with cash donations for medical attention at Modibbo Adamawa Teaching Hospital and Yola Specialist hospital respectively.
Musa advised the inmates to change for good as they move back to their various societies and involve themselves in to viable ventures.
While announcing the payment of their fines, Musa charged the inmates to go back to school for more education and to engage in skills acquisition ventures for self reliance.
He encourage them to engage in skills that will be beneficial to them and their families, disclosing that he will work hand in hand with the command to provide them with equipment for training of inmates.
Responding,Controller Adamawa command of the Nigeria correctional service,CC. Garba Abubakar Salha applauded the intervention of philanthropist Musa for making it possible for the concerned inmates to gain their freedom legally.
Controller Salha said that the move was timely and will assist in decongesting of the prison facilities urging other stakeholders in the society to emulate the kind gesture of Philanthropist Musa.
“Adamawa state and this command is lucky to have a son like him and we appreciate this gesture as l call on others to emulate it”.Salha applauded
