Foundation sensitizes school girls on menstruation hygiene

The leadership of Vibrant Girl Child Welfare Foundation has sensitized some school girls drawn from  public and private schools in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, on menstruation hygiene.

In an interview at the occasion, the Founder/Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Mrs. Amaogu Chinyere, called on the parents to encourage their children during the menstrual period.

She also pleaded with Nigerians to deem it necessary to assists the girls with sanitary pads during the menstruation.

Chinyere, however, disclosed that the Vibrant Girl Child Welfare Foundation was established to focus on education, health and entrepreneurship, and thanked the people who graced the occasion.

Also speaking, Mr. Michael Onah, who spoke on the demystifying the myths surrounding menstrual hygiene, urged Nigerians to endeavor to remove those misconceptions surrounding menstruation in the society, noting that menstruation is a natural thing.

Onah advised the girls to be bold during their menstrual period, and charged the parents to break the barriers attached to the menstruation in the society.
