Foundation solicits gov’t support on training for disables, others

A Non-Governmental organization (NGO) known as D-pat Foundation, in Gwagwalada area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has appealed to government  to assist the foundation with provision of catering facilities and apparatus, needed to empower people with entrepreneurial competencies.

The president of the foundation, Mrs. Patience Ardey, who made this appeal in an interview with Peoples Daily in Gwagwalada, said the foundation had trained a lot of persons with all forms of disabilities across the six area councils.

Also, she said that the foundation has trained good number of Sex workers in the FCT as well organized a seminar on HIV/AIDs pandemic.

She pointed out that the foundation was specialized in training the apprentices in fashion designing, soap making, event management and catering, include hair dressing, interior decoration, pomade and bead making among others.

Ardey, however, assured that the foundation would continue to train prostitutes, youth as well as needy for the betterment of the society.
