Four female intending pilgrims stopped over pregnancy

The Bauchi State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board has stopped four intending female pilgrims from performing this year Hajj exercise on health grounds and pregnancy

The Special Adviser to the State Governor on Hajj affairs, Alhaji Sanusi Sarkin Aska stated this yesterday while briefing newsmen on preparation for the airlift of Pilgrims from the newly built Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi.

According to him, the four women include two pregnant women and the other two women were barred on medical grounds.

He said the women were advised to bring their replacement or to wait until next year Hajj exercise if they are fit.

Sarkin Aska said the board had already secured Visas for 2,892 pilgrims from the State and air lift of Pilgrims will commence on Sunday 21st September 2014.

He said 530 pilgrims from Bauchi ,Ningi and Giade Local Government Areas and some pilgrims from the board will be air lifted around seven ( 7) o’clock in the Morning.

Sanusi said the board had completed issuing of hand bags, uniform and enlightenment programmes in all the 20 local Government areas.

He said medical tests and injections had been completed and pilgrims will be test on Ebola at the airport before the commencement of the air lift.
