The leadership of the National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) in Dei-Dei, of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in partnership with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), yesterday organised a public enlightenment on standard tyres gauge for drivers, in the area.

Speaking at the occasion, the FRSC Unit commander, in charge of Kubwa Unit, Mr. Patrick Davou, urged the drivers to always make use of good tyres for their safety on the road.

He pleaded with the drivers to avoid using bad tyres during the rainy season, to reduce accidents on the roads, saying that road safety is a collective responsibility of everyone.

Davou, therefore, advised the motorists to avoid over speeding as well as making calls while driving on the road.

On his part, the NARTO Chairman in Dei-Dei, Alhaji Sidi Abubakar, reinstated that his administration would not hesitate to collaborate with the security agencies to protect the lives of his members.

Abubakar thanked the FRSC for their contributions towards the success of the programme.
