Hensekhin Samuel, Lawyer to the founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministries, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, has accused social media personality Martin, known publicly as VeryDarkMan (VDM) of forgery.

Speaking at the FCT High Court, Samuel alleged before the court that VDM falsified receipts for spiritual items he claimed to have purchased from the church.

Coming on the backdrop of legal battle between the cleric and VDM over spiritual materials in the church, during the court session, VDM’s counsel expressed disappointment over the absence of Prophet Fufeyin.

He requested that the court impose a fine of N200,000 for his absence and sought to serve legal claims directly to the church’s representative present in court.

However, the presiding judge, rejected these prayers. The judge further stated that the case would be forwarded to the Chief Judge of the FCT High Court for reassignment to another judge, as the current court was sitting under vacation rules.

Following the court’s decision, Prophet Fufeyin’s legal counsel explained his absence, citing personal and medical reasons.

He also claimed that the receipt presented by VDM as proof of purchase was fraudulent, stating that their investigation revealed the receipt numbers were altered and did not exist in any official records.

The case will now be reassigned, with a new date to be set for trial.
