The Federal University Gashua (FUGA), Yobe state, has announced the successful development and commissioning of its first locally manufactured solar generator.

The milestone was celebrated during a Sensitisation and Awareness Campaign for the university’s Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office (IPTTO), held at the institution’s 284-Capacity Lecture Theatre.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Adamu Saleh, Head of Information and Public Relations for the University.

The Vice-Chancellor of the FUGA, Professor Maimuna Waziri hailed the innovation as a significant achievement that will contribute to the university’s technological advancement.

Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Mohammed Attai Yakubu, she commended the IPTTO team for their creativity and dedication.

“This achievement is not only a source of pride for the university but also a valuable contribution to the wider society and the world at large,” Prof. Waziri stated.
