Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka has been re-elected as the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State following the successful conclusion of the party’s state congress.
In a statement released by his Press Secretary, Sa’adatu Maina, the newly re-elected chairman expressed profound gratitude to party members and stakeholders for the peaceful conduct of the recent ward and local government congresses.
Gadaka described the exercise as a testament to the party’s internal cohesion and political maturity, extending appreciation on behalf of Governor Mai Mala Buni, the State Working Committee, and all party loyalists.
“What we witnessed across the state was not just a congress, but a demonstration of political maturity, trust, loyalty, commitment, and genuine consultations. From the ward to the local government level, our party loyalists conducted themselves peacefully,” he said.
Gadaka commended the transparency of the process, emphasizing that there was no imposition of candidates or rancour throughout the exercise.
He also extended special appreciation to the national officials who supervised the process, particularly the team from the APC National Headquarters led by Ambassador Babagana Ajimi and Engr. Dr. Muttaka Rabe, for their effective oversight.
He said the Congress Committee formally submitted its report to Gadaka, covering the outcomes of 178 ward congresses and 17 local government congresses.
Gadaka attributed the overall success of the congresses to the commitment and inclusive leadership style of Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration.
The chairman called on all party members to maintain the same spirit of unity as they prepared for the party’s forthcoming national convention, scheduled for March 2027.
Ambassador Ajimi commended party members for their maturity and understanding, which ensured a peaceful process across the state.
