The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, has rejoiced with the President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, on his 64th birthday.

The Speaker described Lawan as a fine parliamentarian who has paid his dues over the years in the Nigerian Parliament.

Gbajabiamila lauded the contributions of the President of the Senate to the Nigerian Legislature from 1999 to date, noting that as a presiding officer in the 9th Assembly, he has demonstrated his experience and expertise acquired over the years.

The Speaker said working with the President of the Senate for almost four years as one of the presiding officers of the 9th Assembly has been a worthwhile experience.

While wishing Lawan many more years in good health, Gbajabiamila prayed to God to continue to protect and bless the President of the Senate.

Also, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Ahmed Idris Wase, has extolled the leadership qualities of the President of the Senate, Sen. Ahmed Lawan on the occasion of his 64th birthday.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Umat Muhammad Puma, Wase described the President of the Senate as committed democrat who have consistently demonstrated exceptional capacity in runing the affairs of the red chamber.

“The Senate under your leadership has inspires hope for the citizens owing to your people oriented policies,  determination and commitment to the unity and prosperity of Nigeria

The Deputy Speaker prayed to Almighty  Allah to grant him good health, wisdom to continue to offer selfless service to mankind.
