GBV: Sultan foundation trains 160 women/girls in Adamawa

The Sultan foundation for peace and development in conjunction with Spotlight initiative has trained 160 women and girls’ right defenders with relevant skills to better engage with community leaders to end violence against women, girls and other harmful practices in Adamawa State.
Delivering his keynote address at the training in Yola Yesterday,Programme Officer of the Foundation,Dr.Ahmad Mustapha said the essence of the one day engagement was to x-Ray harmful practices that are seen in the society.
Dr.Mustapha who doubles as the Ubandoman Adamawa and District of Girei stressed that stakeholders are engaged for providing sustainable ways in tackling harmful practices in the best interest and dignity of humanity.
Mustapha announced that the programme has been organised in two local government areas including Yola North and Mubi North.
