Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has urged women to actively participate in politics as a way of shaping national discourse.
Dabiri-Erewa gave this admonition in a keynote address she delivered at the International Women’s Day celebrations organised by Zenith Bank of Nigeria held at the Civic Center in Lagos.
Speaking on the theme “TAKE IT, YOU OWN IT”, Dabiri-Erewa enjoined women to be supportive of one another thereby building the country collectively.
Dabiri-Erewa, according to a statement by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Head, Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit,
NiDCOM, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his inclusive leadership through elective and appointive positions accorded women.
She also commended Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, for her impactful initiatives for women and children.
