GIG Mobility (GIGM) has expanded its operations with the opening of a new passenger terminal in Ekwulobia, Anambra State, as part of efforts to improve inter-state connectivity and extend its transport services to more communities.
The new terminal, located at Solution Park in Ekwulobia, is expected to serve passengers travelling from the commercial town and neighbouring communities to major destinations across the country.
With the new facility, passengers will have access to routes connecting Lagos, including Ajah, Iyana Ipaja, FESTAC and Jibowu; the Federal Capital Territory and North-Central destinations such as Utako, Kubwa, Maraba and Lokoja; as well as eastern and southern cities including Enugu, Nsukka, Asaba, Benin and Port Harcourt.
The company said the expansion forms part of its strategy to strengthen its transport network and improve access to technology-driven travel services across Nigeria.
Dr Enahoro Okhae, CEO of GIGM, added that “the Ekwulobia terminal will provide passengers with improved travel options, while reinforcing its focus on scheduled services, passenger comfort and safety”.
