The All Children Charity International Foundation (ACCIF) has put in motion machineries to enroll 120 out of school girl-child back to the classroom to complete their education.
Team Leader of the organization, Barrister Paul Daudu disclosed this during a community sensitization visit to Makarfi District in Makarfi Local Government Area of the state.
According to him, forty out of school girl-child will be picked from three communities which include Marke, Nassarawa Doya and Makarfi. He added that certain criteria were put in place before selecting the beneficiaries this includes; death of parents, financial constrain and poverty.
“The girls will be provided with free learning materials, they will be trained in soft skills (baking, soap making, bead making etc).
“We indulge the community members of Makarfi and the surrounding villages, parents of girl child missing out of school to support the project and also ensure that their girl-child especially those who dropped out of secondary school (Junior/Senior) come forward to be accessed and further benefit from the good gesture of the TY Danjuma Foundation 2018 project.
“We strongly believe that this project will further bring more developmental projects at the Local Government and the state in general,” he said.
In his remark, the Acting District head of Makarfi LGA, Mohammed Bello Makarfi, commended ACCIF for the kind gesture; saying this will change the communities for the better.
Similarly, the Village Head of Makarfi, Kabiru Abdullahi, said the ACCIF programme was very laudable and a welcome development; noting that there are lots of youths (boys and girls) who are vulnerable and very brilliant but lack sponsorship to get education.
