Mrs. Gloria Dandam, has assumed office as the new Director of the Federal Capital Territory Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (FCT-CPWB), with a pledge to foster significant improvement of Pilgrims welfare.
Mrs Dandam, made pledge at a brief ceremony when officially took over the board.
She also enjoined staff to imbibe and promote the spirit of teamwork, in order to ease transformation processes in the Board.
She noted that her appointment comes with a commitment to elevate the Board’s mission, focusing on creating a nurturing environment for Pilgrims and staff of the Board.
The director explained that her vision for the Board is to recognize the importance of welfare as the cornerstone of her leadership, which is in consonance with the mission and vision of the Board.
She adds: The welfare of the Pilgrims is paramount as long as I remain in this position of the Director in the Board. The vision and mission of the Board must be fulfilled.”
She therefore pledged that under her stewardship, the Board will implement and improve welfare packages for Pilgrims; ensuring that their spiritual journeys are marked by comfort and support.
Furthermore, the director pledged to improve working conditions for staff, recognizing their vital role in facilitating a successful Pilgrimage experience.
While reiterating the significance of teamwork, she opined that without such, no body posses a monopoly of an idea, thus, she or any other staff cannot achieve what has been said to be done without.
According to her, her leadership philosophy centers on collaboration, sharing of ideas and brainstorming, which could bring about better achievement of results.
She equally used the opportunity to expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Minister of FCT, Barr. Nyesom Wike, and the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, for considering her worthy to head the Board.
