GNI Healthcare Limited has pledged its committed to making improved amd quality health care services available to its enrolees following its recent reaccreditation for successfully recapitalization in line with the National Health Insurance Scheme’s directive.

According to the firm the scheme, which was established by the Federal Government through Act 35 of 1999, sought to provide easy access to health care for all Nigerians at an affordable cost through various prepayment systems.

“As a result of the conclusion of this comprehensively conducted capacity and performance assessment, GNI Healthcare, which is a fully owned subsidiary of Great Nigeria Insurance Plc, has scaled this hurdle,” it stated.

The company commended the decision of the NHIS management to build a new, responsive and responsible health insurance scheme by employing the services of PricewaterHouse Coopers to reassess the strength and potential of the Health Maintenance Organisations.

GNI Healthcare attributed growth it recorded in the last two years to the effective strategies adopted by the management adding that the strategies included regular settlement of hospital bills, flexible and comprehensive health packages, regular recertification of provider hospitals and supervision of the provider satisfaction survey, which had helped to keep everyone on their toes and ensure maximum quality service delivery to enrolees.

The firm said its enrolees had the opportunity to send feedbacks through a unique information flow medium that monitored instant health care administration and the quality of care received by the enrolees.

According to the firm, this, among other initiatives, has helped to shore up the integrity and confidence of quality performance in GNI Healthcare, the providers and the NHIS.

The HMO had ensured the fulfilment of one of the cardinal objectives of setting it up, which was to exceed expectations of high quality and affordable health care.
