Gombe: Coordinator wants NYSC members to respect culture of communities

Corps members deployed to Gombe State have been advised to respect the culture of their communities while discharging their civic responsibilities.
The State Coordinator of National Youths Service Corps in Gombe, Mr. David Pwanidi Markson made the call during the occasion of the official closing ceremony of the 2019 Batch A orientation course that was held at the NYSC temporary orientation camp Amanda.
While congratulating the corps members for their successful stay at the camp, the coordinator said their posting was done based on the need of the state government in view of improving the standard of education among students.
According to him, based on the primary assignment giving to them there is need to keyed into the policy of government by deploying corps members to schools in the rural areas to groom young one.
He called on them to keep the good work as they commence the next phase of the service year.
Also speaking at the Gombe state governor Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo who was represented by his deputy Mr. Charles Iliya reminded the corps members saying NYSC scheme has withstood the test of time and has remained the utmost symbol of unity in diversity which the country witnessed civil war through its natural and human resources that was capable of playing a leading role in Africa.
Speaking further, governor Dankwambo while discharging the corps members told them to continue their good work by contributing to the growth of the State.
