Gombe: DPR sensitizes petroleum products marketers on online registration

As part of the effort to promote global
digitalization, the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has engaged in sensitizing both independent and major marketers on the need to register their companies through online.
The operation controller of DPR, Mr. Abdullahi Abawa made the pronouncement yesterday in Gombe while sensitising independent and major marketers of petroleum products to engaged themselves in registering their companies through online.
He said, DPR will not longer rendered any manual registration to independent and major marketers of petroleum products than operating online registration in order to meet global digiltazation.
The controller who warned marketers to distance themselves from engaging third party in its affairs, called on them to lodge their complaints to authority of DPR for effective service delivery.
According to him, online registration would help in accessing documentation in good time without any hindrance, adding that the exercise will commence in October.
He revealed that most petroleum products marketers are shying to lodge their complain for effective attention than inviting third party into the matter.
Speaking at the function, zonal controller of DPR office Mr. Ali Idris Zoka emphasized the need which he said is paramount for DPR to graduate from manual registration to online application to enable fast documentation among petroleum products marketers.
He said eventhough the commencement of the online registration in October by the DPR inorder to get access to global digitaization both independent and major marketers needs to sensitize on the new development.
