No fewer than 550 poor and vulnerable women in Gombe local government were said to have benefited through the equity fund from the government inorder to enjoy Gombe state contributory healthcare services.
The executive secretary of Gombe state contributory healthcare management agency (GOHEALTH) Dr. Abubakar Musa who was represented by the Director planning research and statistics Tanimu Umar made this known in Gombe during the flagging off of the exercise at the weekend.
He said the flagging off of the programme in Gombe local government area council was aimed at enhancing women to benefit from GOHEALTH.
Dr. Musa also said the beneficiaries were drawn from the 11 wards of Gombe local government area which 50 women from each ward were picked to benefit.
He said the programme will not only end at Gombe local government area but will equally touched the lives of the poor and vulnerable women from the remaining 10 local government areas.
