A University don Dr. Mohammed Gazali Abdulhamid has organized 2019 mathematics competition for public primary, junior and senior secondary schools across the 11 local government areas in Gombe State.
The competition which was organized by the university don was to test students’ knowledge in area of mathematics.
According to him, no fewer than 400 students participated during the competition where good ones were carefully selected to occupy the first, second and third positions.
Performing the function at the weekend, Abdulhamid said with the fear of knowledge in mathematics there is need to organize competition to actualize the best students in mathematics.
Abdulhamid who is the pioneer of Northeast School of Technology Gombe called on the government to do as much as possible to ensure that children in schools should engaged themselves in mathematics.
Our correspondent reports that the event was attracted with Academia, politicians, traditional rulers Among others.
They were presentation of certificates, trophies to winners after the competition.
