Gombe: Matrix Int’l Academy elects school officials

Matrix International Academy Gombe has conducted elections in various positions where ten prefects were elected.
The election which was conducted Friday at the school hall was observed by some schools including the representative of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Gombe.
Among those elected are Zakariya’u Muhammad Suleiman Head boy, Fatima Muhammad Jeme Head girl, Muhammad Yusuf Abubakar utility prefect (Boys), Hauwao’u Hamisu Abubakar utility prefect Girls), Nabeel Suraj Dada laboratory prefect, Mustapha M. Fararambi Games prefect (Boys) Sara James Game prefect (Girls),Faruq Habu Mamman Social prefect (Boys), Sausan Ibrahim Kwami Social prefect (Girls) and Abba Sadiqu time keeper.
Head of the school Mr. Ijiga Edache called on the elected prefects not to hesitate to take their civic responsibilities effectively.
He appreciated the conduct of the election which he said was timely and thanked the presiding officers, the observers and the Media for conducting a hitch free election.
According to him, with this kind of election been conducted in the school will prepare the mind of the students when graduating from school they will be future leaders through politics.
While congratulating them at the pool Edache called on students to support the prefect to carry out their function effectively.
