The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Gombe State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has congratulated the newly elected national president of the NUJ comrade Alhassan Yahya on the outcome of the eighth triennial delegates’ conference which he emerged victorious.
The chairman of the correspondents chapel Miss Hajara Leman and its secretary Mr.Peter Uwumarogie in a press statement signed and issued to Journalists in Gombe described the victory of the new president of the NUJ as a new chapter that will create unity, professionalism, and transparency within the NUJ family.
The statement said,“Knowing the antecedent of Alhassan, we are sure of the confidence of his victory would triggered improvement in the welfare of Journalists in the country as he is renowned for mobilising all necessary resources and connection towards ensuring that his vision for colleagues were actualised.”
According to the statement, electing Comrade Alhassan as new President of a noble profession is a symbol of trust that Journalists across the country have in him and his quality leadership style to deliver.
