Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has on Tuesday approved the constitution of the 9 man Committee with a task to streamline Ministries, Boards, Parastatals as well as Extra-Ministerial Departments and Agencies in the State.
In a statement issued to Journalists in Jalingo by the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Dr. Jeji William has Hon. Obadiah Ando, Chairman, and Permanent Secretary Establishment to serve as Secretary.
According to the statement, members of the committee includes Barr. Danladi Kifasi mni Member, Buld Augustine Bazing mni Member, Mr. Christopher Adamu Member, Dr. Isa Mohammed Hamza, Member, Mr. Habila B. Bala Member, Representative of Ministry of Justice Member and Representative of Chief of Staff Member.
“The Committee is tasked to sort out boards, Parastatals and agencies with the view to placing them appropriately in order to achieve maximum results.
“They have the mandate and powers to realign or propose new ones and recommend ways of improving and sustaining them in the course of governance in the State.
“The Committee is to come-up with the functions and mandates of all the MDAs, as well as their nomenclatures.
“They are to be streamlined to make them more effective and efficient to meet contemporary challenges and realities of governance in the State.”
