Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has Friday assented into law the State’s supplementary Budget of 206, 776, 000.000, few hours after it was passed by the State House of Assembly.
The lawmakers have earlier approved the governor’s request to borrow the sum of N206, 766, 000. 000 loan from four Commercial Banks.
The loan which has the validity of four years repayment plan, will be service from State FAAC, JAAC, VAT and IGR, with 18% interest rate of 5% administration charge remove up front.
With the assented supplementary budget, the State’s 2023 budget now stand at N380, 010, 537, 456. 40. Which the passed Taraba State Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku assented for the 2023 fiscal year.
In a statement issued by the Chef Press Secretary to the Governor, Yusuf Sanda.
Parts of a statement read, “The Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas has signed into law a supplementary budget of over N206 billion as passed by the State House of Assembly.
“The budget was signed in the presence of the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Aminu Alkali, the Speaker, Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. John Bonzena, Acting Chief Judge of the State, Justice Filibus Agya, the Secretary to the Government, Chief Gebon Kataps and the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Jethro Yakubu”.
